  2. SuperSlot 1.0 Installatie (English readers see below)

  5. Dit bestand bevat alleen informatie over het installeren en starten van
  6. SuperSlot. Zie voor meer informatie het bestand SLOT.HLP. Dit bestand kan
  7. vanuit het SuperSlot programma met de Help-knop of functietoets F1 geopend
  8. worden.
  9.  
  10. Alleen de bestanden SLOT.EXE en VBRUN300.DLL zijn nodig om het programma te
  11. kunnen starten. Het spel mag echter niet verspreid worden zonder de bestanden
  12. SLOT.HLP en SLOT.TXT.

  14. Kopiδer de bestanden SLOT.EXE, SLOT.HLP en SLOT.TXT naar een subdirectory op 
  15. de harde schijf. Dit gaat het makkelijkst vanuit DOS, met de volgende 
  16. commando's (sluit elk commando af met de Enter toets):

  18. C:
  19. MD \SLOT
  20. CD \SLOT
  21. COPY A:\SLOT.*
  22.  
  23. Op deze manier maakt u een directory, genaamd SLOT en kopiδert daar de
  24. bestanden naar toe. Hierbij ga ik er vanuit dat de bestanden op een diskette
  25. staan, in de A:-drive. Vervang, als dit niet het geval is, de tekst A: door de
  26. driveletter en eventueel directorynaam waar de bestanden wel te vinden zijn.

  28. Het bestand VBRUN300.DLL moet in de Windows\SYSTEM directory staan. Als dit
  29. bestand daar nog niet aanwezig is kopiδert u het daar naartoe met de volgende
  30. opdracht:

  32. COPY A:\VBRUN300.DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
  33.  
  34. Als uw Windows-directory niet C:\WINDOWS is, maar zich ergens anders bevindt,
  35. moet u het commando aanpassen. Als u op een netwerk werkt, kan het zijn dat de
  36. System directory zich niet onder de Windows directory bevindt. Vraag in dat
  37. geval aan de systeembeheerder of hij het bestand in de juiste directory wil
  38. plaatsen. Het programma werkt overigens ook als u het bestand VBRUN300.DLL
  39. gewoon in dezelfde directory als de andere drie bestanden plaatst. Dit bestand
  40. wordt echter bij meer programma's geleverd en het kan dus zijn dat u er in dat
  41. geval meerdere kopieen van heeft en dat kost natuurlijk schijfruimte.

  44. Selecteer vervolgens in Programmabeheer onder Windows de groep, waar u
  45. SuperSlot in wilt plaatsen. Kies uit het menu Bestand de optie Nieuw.
  46. Selecteer vervolgens de optie Programma en kies OK. Typ in het vak
  47. Opdrachtregel de tekst C:\SLOT\SLOT.EXE en kies OK. Het SuperSlot pictogram
  48. verschijnt in de geselecteerde groep en u kunt het spel starten door twee keer
  49. achter elkaar met de muis op dit pictogram te klikken.

  51. Als u SuperSlot niet in een groep wilt plaatsen, kunt u het starten door in 
  52. Programmabeheer het menu Bestand te kiezen en daarin de optie Starten. Type 
  53. vervolgens de tekst C:\SLOT\SLOT en kies OK.

  59. This file only contains information on installing and starting SuperSlot. See
  60. for more information the file SLOT.HLP. This file can be accessed from the
  61. SuperSlot program, by clicking the Help button or pressing F1.

  63. The only files necessary to run the program are SLOT.EXE and VBRUN300.DLL.
  64. However, the game may not be distributed without the files SLOT.HLP and
  65. SLOT.TXT.

  67. Copy the files SLOT.EXE, SLOT.HLP and SLOT.TXT to a subdirectory on your
  68. harddisk. The easiest way to do this is from DOS. Use the following DOS
  69. commands (press Enter after each command):

  72. MD \SLOT
  73. CD \SLOT
  74. COPY A:\SLOT.*
  75.  
  76. This way you create a directory named SLOT and copy the files to it. This
  77. assumes the files are on a diskette in drive A:. If this is not the case then
  78. change the text 'A:' into the drive and directoryname where the files can be
  79. found.

  81. The file VBRUN300.DLL must be in your Windows\SYSTEM directory. If this file
  82. isn't allready there, copy it to this directory, with the following command:

  84. COPY A:\VBRUN300.DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
  85.  
  86. If your Windows directory is not C:\WINDOWS you must change this command. If
  87. you are on a network it may be that the System directory is not under the
  88. Windows directory. In that case, ask the system administrator to place the
  89. file in the right directory. The program also works if you place the file
  90. VBRUN300.DLL in the same directory as the other files. However, this file is
  91. distributed with more programs, so in that case it can be that you have more
  92. copies of it, which can take a lot of space on your harddisk.

  94. Now, in Program Manager, select the group in which you want to place
  95. SuperSlot. Choose the option New in the File menu. Then, select the option
  96. Program and choose OK. Fill in the Commandline, which should be
  97. C:\SLOT\SLOT.EXE and choose OK. The SuperSlot icon appears in de selected
  98. group and you can start the game by dubbleclicking this icon.

  100. If you don't want to place SuperSlot in a group, you can start it by chosing
  101. the option Run in the File menu of Program Manager. Type the text C:\SLOT\SLOT
  102. and choose OK.
